Budding photographer

Emma has learned not only how to work my camera, but how to bat her eyes so I give in and let her have it. Multitalented, that kid. I do love to see what she thinks is important enough in her world to take a picture of. Shoes, princess tent, her big girl bed, sister, shoes, sister, blocks, dad, sister, front door, sister, herself, ponies, mom, plastic food, mom cleaning up, sister... here are a few of my favorites

Mine elbow...

Yesterday, Emma slept in which is not usual for her right now. Then she was kinda clingy and whined a lot all morning. She took a nap, which again is not usual. When she woke up, we had lunch and then she laid herself back down on the couch with her pilow, blanket, binkies, and lamby. We then had a conversation that went like this:
Lila- Emma, do you not feel good today?
Emma- yeah.
Lila- Can you tell me what's owie?
Emma- yeah.
Lila- What?
Emma- Mine elbows.
Lila- Elbows?
Emma- Yeah. Mine elbows bonks.
Apparently she had bonked her elbows... and that's why she didn't feel good. I love these cute little conversations I am starting to have with her.

{discoveries}

We have been learning and discovering a lot of things in the last few weeks, here are just a few of them...

Emma- I can crawl into the crib to wake up my sister
Macie- My toes are yummy!
Emma- I can take pictures with the camera... and it flashes!
Macie- Mommy makes yummy food to eat, and I'll eat it all
Emma- I can push the chair to the counter to climb up
Macie- I can walk in and steer the walker
Emma- Naps are getting less and less fun
Macie- It's easier to roll over myself than have Emma do it for me
Emma- I can choose what I wear and dress myself
Macie- I don't always want to 'trade' my toys away

Pah pah nuff...

Well, our computer has been on the edge this last week... bummer. They are expensive. But we have been as busy as ever! We made cookies a couple days ago, and I explained to Emma they were called Sugar Cookies. She helped by standing on a chair by the counter and 'stirring' a whish and a bowl. I turned around (oops) to rinse our dishes, and in just under a minute, she was saying "pahpah nuff... pahpah nuff..." and I turned around to her putting this colored sugar on the cookies! Yes, Emma, sugar cookies. She had climbed up onto the counter and grabbed the container out of a cupboard. Definately enough sugar.

Playing Dolls

We had Emma's birthday party last Saturday and it was a lot of fun! Emma's favorite toy has been these dolls with magnetic clothing from Grandma Terry. She is really sweet to ask "paying manet doll peas?" when she wants me to get them out. She mostly likes to collect the pants and lay out all the shirts... they usually have several pair of pants on each. It's a great game!

Toes

It is so much fun watching Macie learn and grow! She is a sweet, sweet happy baby all the time. This week she found her toes... pretty fun!
