Big D

In January, I had the opportunity to go to California and spend a couple days with my Grama Kitch and my Grandpa "Big D". He has been fighting cancer since late last summer, and was in a rehabilitation facility after radiation when I was there. It was a quick, wonderful trip. {26 weeks along}
Last week, he lost his battle with cancer, but not before teaching us how to put up a good fight. I was blessed to be able to travel back down, this time with my brothers & niece for the funeral service. We met up with my Mom & Dad and little sister there. My Grama's family was also able to make it, which was absolutely wonderful.

{32 weeks along}

I always knew Grandpa was an incredible man, I knew he was mayor of Thousand Oaks and served on the City Council, that he really was a Rocket Scientist and worked for Aerospace, but it was so neat to hear what wonderful things he did in those other aspects of his life. He made a huge impact in the lives of many. His obituary {HERE} is just beautiful. He will forever make me a better person.

{I need to have Colin take all pictures of me from here on out... even at 32 weeks he can take a picture where I don't have a double chin}

hmmmm... very interesting

Macie was walking around the house with a dish towel around her neck as a 'cape' and my snowboot on her arm. I asked her what she was doing - her reply:

"I listening to your heartbeat. Hmmmm... very interesting!"

{and this is what my belly looks like at 30 weeks from my view!}

play date

Savannah stopped by for a little while this morning on her way to the airport! Yeah! I love it when she comes! I was watching Rory for the day, so we had four little grandkids together.

Macie: Take my picture, Mom! (as she sits right in front of the camera and hikes up her skirt... where in the world did she learn that?)
Hide and seek... she yells "I UNDER DA TABLE GUYS!"

Even though it was a short visit, it was still great to see them!
