Suckers

Emma and I made these suckers for Macie's birthday... they were easy and a LOT of fun.

ONE!

Wow. Today is my baby girl's first birthday. Where did that YEAR go? She is such a joy, and I love her little spot in our family. We just had a fun little party with family, and it was perfect. I embroidered this shirt last night, and Emma kept saying it was a "number eight" - we got the number part right... but Macie is not eight yet. Not for a couple years!

The hospital had a work party at the Spud Drive-in last night and it was really fun. There were kid games and prizes, a popcorn cook-off and prizes! I won the first four Harry Potter books, which is cool because I never win anything... Both kids loved running around on the grass and playing with little boys. When the movie started {Harry Potter} we all got in the car and those girls both wiggled and climbed around in our little Honda Accord for half an hour until they fell asleep. That car is way too small for us.

We had a great time!

Ocean Fun

One of my favorite things to play growing up was felt. Mom kept a big box for us to play with, and Noah, Savannah and I made troll clothes and villages for hours and hours... I LOVED when she pulled that box out.

Recently I found a huge box of felt at a thrift store for $5, and after calculating the price tags still on the full sheets, it would have been $28 from the store!!! I pulled a couple pieces out today after watching an ocean-themed Dora, and Emma and I set out to make the ocean. Notice all the Mommies, Daddies, and Babies? She wants to make sure everybody has a family. Somehow in the excitement she forgot the Octopus, but that's okay with me! We had fun, and I think we will be doing a lot of this in the future!

Macie has been pretty funny, insisting on having a towel on top of her head. I don't care as long as she's happy!

Yellowstone Lake

We all ditched work Friday and spent the day at Yellowstone Lake with a family friend. It was a good, long day and we all had a blast. Emma is not a big fan of the boat, and insisted on being held and asked to 'get out of water. I go find my car now' all five hours on the boat. She was a really good sport. Macie and McCarty loved it! Nick caught the only fish of the day - way to go hubby! We'll have to go back before the summer is over.

Family Reunion

The reunion ended a week ago, and it took me that long to go through pics and get them up here. These are my favorites, although I always forget to get a Nick James family picture... just imagine you can see us all in one picture, ok?
