Uh-oh...

Well... she can walk! I am NOT ready for this yet. We are having my family reunion this week, and she picks this week when we will be camping on uneven, rocky ground to walk. She is sure proud of herself and so am I!

We spent the morning at the Idaho Falls Zoo today as a family. It's not a great big zoo, but an hour and a half was all out little kids were interested in anyway.

The binoculars were a big hit with Emma...

And Macie liked the Lion Daddy bought her!

We all had a great time, even if we don't all love pictures.

Summer

I love summer! We have been outside all day... shoes off just playing in the grass.

Summer Sewing

Even though Emma was not a fan of my clothes to start with, I think they have grown on her. I hope. I still bribe for good pictures, but it's getting easier. Macie just LOVES the attention and would love to have me one on one all day.

Macie looks adorable in the dress from here. I made two for her and a tank for Emma, but she was modeled out. More of these to come, I'm sure. It's a great pattern.

The bubble dress (left) was a much bigger hit than the t-shirt dress. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the bubble dress on her. She said she'd give the other dress to her friend KK.

It's been warming up, and I thought this was a good one for Macie for the summer. She agrees. The other skirt I just made up as I went, and it worked out okay.

Valentine's Day

The other day Emma and I had a conversation that went like this:

Emma (as she is sitting under Macie's walker) : Mom, it Valenkyme's day.

Lila: What?

Emma: It Valenkyme's Day.

Lila: Valentine's Day?

Emma: Yeah.

Lila: Oh.

Emma: I need a cape.

Lila: A What?
Emma: A Valenkyme's Cape.

I think we may have our holidays mixed up. Oh well. She went and picked out fabric from my craft room, and we made a cape for the funny little girl. It has been Valentine's day several times since then, and I have no idea why she likes that holiday so much. Here is her new cape!
