Hello again, abandoned blog

I really had no intention of completely abandoning my family blog, but here we are a year later...

 

 

For a quick recap of our year...
Emma started Kindergarten last fall & has a great little group of friends there. We are making progress with her car anxiety & general anxiety FINALLY. She made some great progress this last month, and daily tasks like scraping the snow off the car or returning a shopping cart are not a huge ordeal anymore. Most days, anyway!
Macie has so stinking much personality it is always an adventure to be with her. She is not afraid to tell you how it is. She has decided that we are best friends & we do pretty much everything together. I am glad I am still cool, I'll eat it up as long as she will go for it! She is doing Joy School again this year, and very, very anxious to start Kindergarten.
Miles is a really laid back little guy, and he makes it clear that he favors Nick over me. It's pretty sweet watching how much Miles just adores Nick. He also loves to do everything the girls do! He has been slower to talk than my girls were, but has made progress now that he is hanging out with Brenna, who is talking up a storm.
Baby #4 is due to make an appearance in June!

{gulp} remember me? yeah. still here...
The last two months I worked a ton extra plus had several big craft fairs and basically forgot to take pictures of my kids, nevermind blogging. But here I am... again...
Mr Miles is the sweetest little guy - 7 months now! Super laid back and soooooo in love with his sisters. He is rolling all over the place and working on scooting, so he gets lots more time down on the carpet now. Today I found him just chilling with our Pocket Guide to Yellowstone Wildlife.

Rigby Lake

We have had a crazy busy summer... hoping now that the girls are back in Joy School (together - it's awesome!) life will have a little more routine & I will remember to blog. Maybe.

Today we went to Ribgy Lake as a family. The weather was perfect and it was not crowded at all. Love when things work out like that! It's awful to admit, but this is our first picture together as a family since Miles was born! Need to work on that!

The girls had a great time playing in the sand and then in the water. It was cool but not cold and shallow enough for them to play without us worrying. This is now on our summer 'must do' list for every year!

Celebrate America

We went to the "Celebrate America" celebration at Huntsman Springs today and had such a great time. Jane and Doug came with us too, and the girls had a great time with them. Emma requested to wear an "America dress" so I got to work and made them each a new patriotic dress. I can't believe how fast they are growing!

My girls are so sweet with their baby brother! It melts my heart every time I see them together.

like mother, like daughter

Emma loves cupcakes. LOVES them. So, when I saw a shirt with a huge cupcake on it, I knew it would be a perfect summer dress for her. I absolutely love how it turned out, and she asked to design one for Olivia too so her daughter could be just like her. You can't really tell, but the sleeves have polka dots on them. Such an Emma dress. Once both dresses were done, we took her baby Olivia to the park and they spent an hour racing down the slides. So funny! My little daredevil Macie spent the hour tring to climb up the hardest way she could.

The girls recently discovered that they can reach the hair bows... and one day they decided to use them ALL. Macie came out saying "I fancy, mama! I fancy!"

Mr Miles

The girls have started calling Miles "Little Mr" and I think it may stick. So, here is Mr at 6 weeks old.

Bear World

I have been enjoying lots of time with my kids and less at the computer, but I'm trying to catch up on what we have done in the last 6 weeks with my handsome little guy!Nick's brother came up to visit and we spent the day at Bear World.

I have to admit, I was a little hesitant to go, but it was so worth it! We let Macie pile in Grandma Jane's car with the other girls & kept Emma & Miles with us. Because you drive about 5 mph through the park, Nick let Emma do the driving. It was neat for the girls to see some wildlife close...but I think the wildlife highlight was when a bear climbed on top of Grandma Jane's car full of girls!Macie had a blast at the petting zoo! They also had some rides- Macie loved every minute and Emma wasn't quite as impressed. After nearly two hours of rides, we had to drag Macie away screaming! Thankfully it didn't last long, she was so worn out from playing she fell asleep two minutes after we buckled her in the carseat.

It was chilly so Miles and I hung out in the car after his snack for a while to warm up. Love family days like this!

it was cold and overcast, but macie, emma and olivia had a great time playing outside yesterday!

Easter Egg Hunt

Savannah and kids are up this weekend and we met up in Driggs for the Easter Egg Hunt - so much fun! Nick and Miles stayed home together and I took the girls.

Pre- egg hunt: When Emma is feeling super shy, she covers her ears. This is totally typical Emma. Rylee has decided Grandpa rocks. I agree. Savannah's big kids after the egg hunt comparing loot. Yes, there was snow on the ground. Why do I live here? I love Emma's choice for hair bow placement - she picked the two biggest flowers and stuck them right on top.

We had a great time and even walked away with some yummy cinnamon rolls!
